About Us

Legalize Kentucky Now is a non-profit organization under IRS code 501(c)(4) dedicated to the promotion of the legalization of marijuana in Kentucky. Through education, advocacy, awareness and organizing, Legalize Kentucky Now seeks to influence policy, public perception, and elected officials. Contributions can be anonymous to the public, but not tax deductible. Legalize Kentucky Now may form a 501(c)(3) to accept tax deductible contributions in the future and engage in charitable activities to advance this issue.

Meet Our CEO and Chairman

Legalize Kentucky Now Chairman and CEO Mike Ward served as a State Representative from 1989 to 1994 and was elected to United States House of Representatives from Kentucky’s Third District in 1994, serving until 1997. He was appointed by President Bill Clinton to serve as Associate Director of the Peace Corps, where he served until 2001. He has managed political campaigns and grass roots school funding initiatives in twenty states. He will use the political skills and knowledge gained over a lifetime of public service to advocate for this issue.
